Urbanlogic in association has provided a range of green planning services supporting the preparation of a Green City Action Plan (GCAP), which includes a series of action plans and a priority investment program. The City has multiple environmental problems/climate change deterioration, together with a number of deep-seated socio-economic challenges, including persistent urban poverty, unemployment, poor housing and gender related issues. Urbanlogic managed the Local Consulting Team in preparing the GCAP and provides international consulting in key GCAP sectors including, Urban Sustainability, Policy Development, and Institutional Development, with specific reference to good governance, organisational change and the legislative/regulatory context. Urban regeneration of aging soviet-era apartment housing is an area of particular focus for further projects.
